Nestled in the historic goldfield town of Gordon just 1 hour out of the Melbourne CBD,
lies ‘Oak Hill Truffles’.
Established in 2007 on the site of the original Gordon Presbytery and Convent,
we produced our first Black Perigord truffle (Tuber Melanosporum) in 2012.
The Central Highlands are ideally suited for the production of winter truffles from mid-June
to the end of August with warm summers, cold winters and plenty of frosts!
The quality of the local truffles have been favourably compared to the best that France can produce.
We can’t agree more!
Our truffle-dog Sally works diligently to detect the elusive aroma that indicates this earthly
treasure that lurks just beneath the surface. We would love to share this exquisite experience
with you, and so occasionally, we open our doors to share this culinary treasure with the world.
Discover our passion and join us for an event not to be missed.
Private tours can be arranged by appointment.
Through the season, from mid June to mid August,
cellar door sales are always welcome.
